Dr. Nicholas Ludmer, MD. is originally from Chicago, Illinois, and completed his undergraduate degrees in Molecular and Cellular Biology and Spanish at the University of Illinois in Champaign - Urbana. He went on to receive his medical degree from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine, and complete his residency training in Emergency Medicine at the University of Cincinnati where he served as Chief resident in his final year. Following residency, he was the inaugural International Medical Education Fellow at the University of Chicago, and has subsequently continued on as the assistant director for the fellowship. Dr. Ludmer’s academic interests lie in the development and implementation of Emergency Care training initiatives, and is currently completing his thesis on international curriculum development for his Masters in Health Professions Education at the University of Illinois in Chicago . Throughout his fellowship and early career, Dr. Ludmer has helped create and implement Emergency Care training initiatives in Ethiopia, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Haiti, and Mexico.
