Paused for Now-- more information soon.
Henrico Chess Academy is excited to announce our Lichess League. In the future, we will be scheduling meetups at various locations for in-person over-the-board tournaments for kids, teens, and adults to learn and practice chess while having a social outlet with friends. Players are encouraged to join our Lichess.org team!
Lessons will include: how to use engines to improve your game, midgame and end game puzzles, finding your opening repertoire, and looking at master games to develop your midgame.
Under 18? There is a one-time registration fee for the scholastic chess league. Payment is optional, but paid members of the chess league get discounts on tournaments and selected summer camps.
Play is free each week, and students will have opportunities to work one-on-one with the coach to improve their game or play on camera on the focus boards to go over their games later.
Play on the Focus Board
Being on camera while playing on the focus boards will allow students to record their games, let the coaches and students analyze the games, and have the game posted on the YouTube channel.
All Ages : Free Play : Lessons Available
*fees can be waived if they present a financial burden.
