June 1, 2025: It's going to be a quiet summer in the Glassman Lab as several lab members are participating in internships this year! Congratulations to Kishore Pathivada (Merck), Marena Martinez Correa (Merck), Manali Patel (Johnson & Johnson), and Lara Srour (Fox Chase Cancer Center) on being selected for competitive intern positions!

March 27, 2025: Ria Singh presented her work on "The Half-Life Extension of Anticoagulants" at the CST-Research Scholars Program Symposium!
January 13, 2025: Accepted manuscript! In collaboration with Oscar Marcos-Contreras and Vlad Muzykantov (UPenn), our results describing half-life extension of Factor IX using red blood cells was published in Bioconjugate Chemistry. This manuscript was the result of a CT3N Pilot Grant awarded to Drs. Glassman and Marcos-Contreras.
November 19, 2024: Kishore Pathivada presented a poster on "Pharmacologic characterization of engineered tissue plasminogen activator derivatives" at the Delaware Valley Drug Metabolism Discussion Group Fall Symposium!
October 18, 2024: Kishore Pathivada presented an oral presentation on "Pharmacologic characterization of engineered tissue plasminogen activator derivatives" at TUSP's GRADSCAN.
September 6, 2024: Our collaboration with Paul O'Connor (Augusta University) received funding from NIDDK for 4 years (1R01DK138150-01A1) to study 'Red blood cell trapping mediates toxic kidney injury following ischemia'.
July 29, 2024: Accepted manuscript! In collaboration with Jake Brenner, Oscar Marcos-Contreras, and Vlad Muzykantov (UPenn), our work describing targeted drug delivery of fingolimod to the blood-brain barrier was published in the Journal of Controlled Release.
July 22, 2024: Welcome Aubrey Elias who has joined our lab as a technician following completion of a B.S. in Forensic Chemistry at Chestnut Hill College!
June 22, 2024: Accepted manuscript! Our manuscript on prediction of the impact of half-life extension strategies on PK parameters was published in the International Journal of Pharmaceutics.
May 2024: Dr. Glassman received the Early Career Award in Translational & Clinical Pharmacology from the American Society for Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics! He presented a lecture at the ASPET Annual Meeting on Physiologically-based PK/PD modeling of targeted nanoparticles.
April 12, 2024: Congratulations to Kishore Pathivada who was selected as the Graduate Student Abstract Winner for TUSP Research Recognition Day and presented a platform presentation on his research!
March 21, 2024: Dr. Glassman was named to a three year term on the Editorial Advisory Board for the Journal of Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics.
March 19, 2024: Accepted manuscript! In collaboration with Hamideh Parhiz, Drew Weissman, and Vlad Muzykantov (UPenn), as well as Acuitas Therapeutics, our paper describing the first PBPK model for targeted mRNA-LNP delivery was published in Molecular Therapy Nucleic Acids.
March 5, 2024: Accepted manuscript! Our collaborative manuscript with Oscar Marcos-Contreras, Jake Brenner, and Vlad Muzykantov (UPenn) on drug delivery to the blood-brain barrier to treat acute ischemic stroke was published in Molecular Therapy.
November 20, 2023: Accepted manuscript! In collaboration with Nicky Mason and Don Siegel (UPenn), along with Vetigenics, our work on development of a canine anti-PD-1 mAb was published in mAbs.
September 27, 2023: Accepted manuscript! Our work on albumin-drug conjugates in collaboration with Oscar Marcos-Contreras and Vlad Muzykantov (UPenn) was published in Molecular Pharmaceutics.
August 31, 2023: Dr. Glassman visited the Baruch S. Blumberg Institute and presented a lecture in their Distinguished Seminar Series on "Drug Delivery Strategies in Acute Critical Illness".
July 8, 2023: Dr. Glassman gave an invited talk at the Drug Metabolism Gordon Research Seminar on "Predictive Pharmacokinetics of Drug Delivery Systems: Are We There Yet?".
June 8, 2023: Accepted manuscript! In collaboration with Oscar Marcos-Contreras and Jake Brenner from UPenn, our work on in vivo loading of leukocytes for drug delivery to the brain was published in ACS Nano.
April 9, 2023: Accepted manuscript! Our collaborative paper with Jake Brenner from UPenn on prediction of nanoparticle pharmacokinetic parameters was accepted into the International Journal of Pharmaceutics.
March 2023: Dr. Glassman travelled to Indianapolis to give a talk on "Bridging the pharmacokinetic-pharmacodynamic gap for nucleic acid delivery" at the American Chemical Society Spring Meeting.
February 26, 2023: Accepted manuscript! Our collaborative paper with Vlad Muzykantov, Oscar Marcos-Contreras, and Jake Brenner from UPenn on drug delivery in intracerebral hemorrhage was accepted into the Journal of Controlled Release.
January 1, 2023: Dr. Glassman was named to the inaugural class of JPET Editorial Fellows.
