Welcome my fellow Tank Trooper! This Guide is to teach you how to be an Engineer.
These following things are just some of the Stuff you might be doing as an Engineer:
Drop Pod Removal/Destruction, and perform standard maintenance & engineering functions around the Ship and on Base

As an engineer you are expected to periodically perform system maintenance runs in which you repair faulty equipment. The following is a couple examples:
Example of a console repair in a CL4 area:
/advert Requesting permission to enter Bridge for maintenance
/me Inspects console
/roll
If the roll is below 50 continue to the next steps
/me repairs Console
/roll
If the roll is below 50 again, try other fixes
/me Replaces power converter
/roll
If that fails continue with fixes until it rolls above 50
Ship Maintenance Tablet
Ship Maintenance Tablet
As a Tank Trooper, you are expected to repair and maintain the equipment stationed on the ISD. As such, you are given the Ship Maintenance Tablet a tool designed to help repair ship failures. To use it follow the simple guide below
Step 1 Locate Damage: First, take out your ship maintenance tablet and find a failure (these can be on or off the ship).
Step 2 Retrieving The Parts: After you have located the failure, click E on it and you will see the following message "You need to get the part to repair this! Proceed to the parts supply!"
Now you need to go get the parts to repair the failure. The container that holds the parts is located in the SHB supply room. Press E on the container to get your part.
Step 3 Repairing The Failure: After you have gotten your part return to the location of the failure and press E. Once you have done this a message will have popped up and you will have received some XP as a reward.

One of the main responsibilities of an Engineer is removal and destruction of drop pods. The enemy's main boarding craft. The following is an example:
Example of a textbook Drop pod removal:
/me inspects drop pod
/me feels surface of drop pod for hazards
/roll
/me opens main panel
/me throws thermal detonator inside of the panel
/roll
Roll above 50 = successfully destroyed
Total 3 roll attempts to roll above 50.
/advert [Name] Destroys drop pod at [location][roll]
