Special Events

the Tiger Boutique and Haberdashery holds special events during different times of the year to support students and families in need!

Prior to each school dance, the Boutique offers what is dubbed as "Fairy Godmother's Closet" where students can come in and shop for their formal dresses, suits, shoes, and accessories. Everyone deserves the chance to look and feel like a prince or a princess, and anyone can find the perfect look free of charge.

During the holiday season, teachers and staff recommend students whose families may be struggling to participate in Project Happier Holidays. These students can fill out a wish list to tell "Tiger Claws" what would make their holidays happier. Community members can sponsor a teen and make their holiday wishes come true. "Tiger Claws" and his "elves" collect the presents from the sponsors and wrap them for each student. These students also have the opportunity to shop in "Tiger Claws's Workshop" to pick out and wrap gifts for their family and friends for free from an amazing selection donated by our community.

The clothes in the Boutique have to be pushed out of the way to make room for Project Happier Holidays.

There are a variety of ways to get involved and help with Project Happier Holidays. You can sponsor a specific teen. (You won't know their name, just their interests, likes, size, etc.) You can donate new gifts to add to Tiger Claw's Workshop for students to pick out for their family and friends. Monetary donations are also accepted and greatly appreciated so that the event coordinators can shop for students who are not sponsored and add shopping options to the workshop. Each student is given a grocery store gift card to purchase needed items for a holiday meal. Donations of gift cards to grocery stores and places that teens like to shop are always needed. We also need volunteers to wrap presents and work in the workshop, helping students pick out and wrap presents for their friends and family.  We also need holiday gift bags, tissue paper, wrapping paper, bows, clear tape, and to & from tags for this event.
