Our Mission 

The Tiger Boutique and Haberdashery was created by a special group of students (the Agents of Change) from the class of 2022 with a simple purpose: to help the community and their fellow students.  It is incredibly difficult for students to focus and learn in class if their basic needs are not met. The Boutique aims to meet the needs of students so that they can be successful in school. Any student can come to the Boutique to get what they need, free of charge, and with no questions asked. The space is designed to replicate a fun, welcoming shopping experience, complete with shopping bags, comfortable chairs, and changing rooms. 

The Agents of Change find that they do their best work out in the community. With the help of their mentors, Mrs. Cronk and Mr. Shawcroft, this service learning advisory meets members of the community in not only positions to help, but in positions to inspire others to create change. 

The class of 2022 was the first class to be a part of the only service learning advisory at Grand Junction High School, named The Agents of Change. In fact, this advisory program is the only one of its kind in the district! GJHS students can apply to join the Agents of Change as 9th or 10th graders. The Agents work throughout their high school career to research issues in the community and to brainstorm solutions. Each student develops a sustainable project addressing an issue of their choice. To date, two classes of students have graduated with honor cords recognizing their accomplishment of a sustainable project, and the completed projects are as unique and varied as the students themselves.
