About Me

Hi, I'm Gizem. Since 2026, I have been working as an assistant professor at the Department of Electrical-Electronic Engineering, Süleyman Demirel University. In 2019, I worked full-time as an early-stage researcher (ESR) at the Faculty of Biology, University of Belgrade, for 5 months in the Horizon 2020 project titled 'Automated Functional Screening of IgGs for Diagnostics of Neurodegenerative Diseases (AUTOIGG).' In 2023, I defended my PhD thesis entitled 'AI-based cell segmentation method for biomedical images.'  My research is mainly focused on biomedical image processing and artificial intelligence.
