About me

My name is Giulia Scalet. I was born on May 5th, 1986 in Bologna (Italy). I received the B. Sc. (2008) and M. Sc. (2010) in Civil Engineering from the University of Bologna and my Ph.D. in Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Bologna in 2014. I'm Associate Professor at the Department of Civil Engineering and Architecture at the University of Pavia and, among the others, member of the Computational Mechanics and Advanced Materials Group and of SiSCo, and affiliate of the National Interuniversity Consortium of Materials Science and Technology (INSTM). Furthermore, I am the Director of the Laboratory of Programmable Materials and Structures (ProMast Lab), at University of Pavia.
