I am an ecologist interested in how biodiversity interacts with changing environments, with a particular fascination for the complexity of ecological systems. I enjoy working across disciplines and drawing connections between different fields to inform my research.
Currently, I am a PhD student supervised by Dr Gareth Roberts and Dr Mark Sutton, working on new methods to identify interactions between biodiversity and landscape structure. I'm funded by NERC and part of the SSCP DTP at the Grantham Institute. I hold a BSc in Natural and Environmental Sciences from the University of Pisa (Italy) and an MSc in Ecology, Evolution, and Conservation from Imperial College.
Between my MSc and starting my PhD I worked at Springer Nature, contributing to creating some of their SDGs-focused research journals such as Nature Water and Nature Reviews Biodiversity.
Beyond my research, I am passionate about the history of science and about communicating scientific ideas in accessible ways, especially through visual storytelling. If you’re interested in connecting or collaborating, feel free to get in touch.
