La Tranquillité is situated in the middle of a rolling landscape where agriculture plays the leading role. Here you can enjoy your holiday in complete serenity – strolling through the communal garden, relaxing by the crystal clear swimming pool, or lazing on your own terrace with a beautiful view.

La Tranquillité offers a selection of stylish gîtes, each with its own terrace, barbecue and fairytale views:
Le Calme: A cosy, detached studio with balcony, perfect for two people.
Le Repos: A spacious retreat in a renovated French barn, with two bedrooms on the ground floor, sleeping four guests.
La Sérénité: Also in the barn, but more spacious – ideal for a party of up to six people.
In addition, just 2 kilometres away is Coutancie, a spacious house on a shared estate, sleeping eight guests. This retreat also has a shared swimming pool.

Coutancie is part of a co-property with seven houses, located just 2 km from La Tranquillité. The estate features a large communal garden and a 15x7m swimming pool.

Surroundings
La Tranquillité can suite the people who are in need of some peace and quiet and likes to escape from the hectic pase of the everyday life as well as the active tourist who can enjoy the historic villages as capital of the comic strip Angouleme, Perigeux, Brantome, Mareuil, Bourdeilles en Aubeterre sur Dronne very near by.
Don't forget to take a look at Saint Jean de Cole which is on the list of the most beautiful villages of France.
Gastronomy and wines
Plenty of possibilities to pleasure the taste buds within a short distance.
Oisters from Arcachon, mushrooms, wall and chestnuts, truffle, chease (cabecous), aspergous, straw berries, yes even French caviar.
Liquit specialities are of course wine, Montbazillac is a well knowned and appriciated wine region, pineau and cognac.
You can find it all. Are you looking for honnest and tastefull products, go visit the local farmers on one of the several "marché hebdamonaire"
Activities:
If you enjoy rummage on markets, you'll love going to Riberac, Chalais or Brantome. Every first Sunday of the month Verteillac holds a brocante. During summer every village has it's own feasts. Mostly with markets, music, a petanque tournement and a firework.
For children we have of corse the swimming pool but beside this theres the kayak trips at Aubeterre, Brantome, Bourdeilles, the adventure park at Nontron or closer by, Moulin de Poltrot in Nabinaud, swimming in the Dronne (Aubeterre) ior in the La Jemaye lake. In the village of Villars, they can live like the ancient cro-magnon who did dwell the area between 40.000 and 30.000 BC.
Lovers of nature will be happy to makes some hikes at La Tourbière which is only 2 km away, or on the wonderful "plateau d'Argentine" where wild orchides grow. If you're lucky, mostly in the evening, some wild animals will cross your path.
Playing golf? A 9hole golf course is to be found in Langeveau.
Cyclists, being families with children ( be aware it's quite slopy some times ) as well as the more fanatic ones will find here a region to enjoy practising there hobby.
A workshop to do some répares is at your disposal.
Further on the're phishing lakes/rivers, horse riding, tennis courts and midget golf.
