Tech Quest Reflection
As this semester comes to an end I have taken some time to reflect on this course. I have found this course extremely enjoyable and engaging. Prior to this course I considered myself tech savvy compared to my peers, but now I know there is so much to learn about technology. Even though, I no longer consider myself tech savvy I do feel I am one step closer to getting there. In this course, I have learned many new ways to use technology that will be helpful not only personally but for my career as a teacher. The Tech Quest assignments covered in each checkpoint have given me the opportunity to increase my knowledge in many areas.
I enjoyed seeing my portfolio evolve from beginning to end of the semester. I am extremely organized and appreciate the features this website obtains to make it look organized by adding text, tabs, titles, and sections that are the same. I’m glad that I have a website to reference to when I am a teacher, as well as share it with other educators who might need technological resources for their classrooms. This website is a helpful tool to help will planning, engaging, and developing as an educator. Personally, I think all the content I added on my Tech Quest portfolio is beneficial. However, I do think it could have more content and be more atheistically pleasing. If I had more time to work on my Tech Quest I would have added more content to it. Also, it would be nice if the website had the ability to add more features. I would have gotten more creative and it would look more professional. However, I am happy with how my portfolio turned out and excited to use technology in my future classroom.
I am eager to use many of the applications and software’s that I have learned about. As a future teacher, I will use applications such as Remind and ClassDojo to communicate with parents and students. I will also use Edpuzzle to help make lessons fun and engaging. These are only some of the many beneficial technological features I will use to make learning fun.
