I am married to Dr. Manasee Palshikar, who is a medical doctor. Manasee loves films and writing. She has learnt Screenplay Writing from the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune, India. She has also learnt Videography from FTII and Film Appreciation from National Film Archives of India (NFAI), Pune, India. Manasee teaches Screenplay Writing as a visiting faculty at Symbiosis Institute of Mass Communication (SIMC), Pune, India. She has also taught Screenplay Writing at FTII, Pune for one year. Manasee has completed M.A. in Gender, Culture and Development from Krantijyoti Savitribai Phule Women's Studies Centre in Savitribai Phule Pune University.
Manasee has authored an English novel Sutak which was published in 2014. She has also published many short-stories and articles.
Manasee and I have one daughter.
In Sep.-Oct., 2008, Manasee worked as a doctor in a camp in Bihar for people affected by the floods of the Kosi river. For this work, she was covered in CNN-IBN and IBN-Lokmat TV channels. Some of these news stories about her work are attached below (at the end of this page).
