DEMOGRAPHICS
Vital Health Statistics CY- 2024
POPULATION
The Population has increased by .6958 percent from 2023. The increase in population is mainly the influx of migration due to the booming trade and commerce activity in the area.

Demand satisfaction for family planning rose to 89%, a 3.4% increase from 2023. Sustaining FP initiatives remains crucial to address gaps in contraceptive acceptance, ensuring informed choice and responsible population management through birth spacing, birth limiting, and child-rearing.
DEATHS
The Crude Death Rate for CY-2024 has decreased by 5.9%. 58% of the total deaths belong to 60 years old and above age group. The most prevalent causes of death are attributed mostly to myocardial infarction, hypertension, pneumonia, and cancer in all forms.
INFANT DEATHS
Infant mortality in CY-2024 reached 9.47, a 35.4% increase from the previous year, with 21 recorded infant deaths. While facility-based deliveries improved, challenges remain due to delayed referrals, poor health-seeking behaviors, incomplete prenatal check-ups, and financial constraints. Sustained and intensified advocacy on Maternal and Child Health is essential to reduce preventable infant deaths and improve child survival outcomes.
MATERNAL DEATHS
CY-2024 recorded two maternal deaths, reflecting a 100% increase in the Maternal Mortality Ratio compared to the previous year. This highlights the urgent need to intensify pregnancy tracking and advocacy efforts, while prioritizing the elimination of hilot-assisted deliveries to prevent future maternal deaths.
MORBIDITY
In 2024, Acute Respiratory Infection (ARI) remained the leading cause of morbidity, underscoring the need to strengthen advocacy on healthy lifestyles and personal hygiene. Animal bites also ranked among the top 10 diseases, highlighting the importance of responsible pet ownership and a stronger Anti-Rabies program. Non-communicable diseases such as hypertension and dental caries were also noted, emphasizing the need for a comprehensive approach addressing both communicable and lifestyle-related conditions.
MORTALITY
Pneumonia ranked as the leading cause of death in CY-2024, with non-communicable diseases (NCDs) accounting for 90% of total mortalities. Since most NCDs are lifestyle-related and preventable, addressing predisposing factors through sustained promotion of healthy lifestyles and a safe environment is vital to reducing premature deaths.
