TCEA Convention & Exposition- January 30th- February 2nd - San Antonio, Texas
I presented two sessions at the Texas Computer Education Association this past year. One was a 90-minute panel discussion about underrepresented populations in EdTech Leadership. The other was about the 'Chromebook Class for Kids' I created and implemented in our district. I have plans to present again this February in Austin, Texas!

Summer 2020 Professional Development-Webinars for the District
Organized and Facilitated Digital Learning PLCs at the Elementary & Secondary Levels
Our Professional Learning Community focused on getting more comfortable with our new LMS, Canvas (@SLESnowden).
Our team also developed a substitute teacher Google Shared Drive initiative in which all subs would have access to resources dropped into that drive. In addition, they would have a daily login/password to access the Newline Board (@notesofgrace).
Accessibility matters and access to learning should be available for ALL students & staff. I recently attended and presented at TCEA. One session inspired me to share what I learned with our educators (@dvneighborsEDU).
Supporting District Goals with WILD Strategies in PLCs
As a district we identified Reading, Writing, Speaking & Listening as a focus. The Digital Learning Department supported our District goals by delivering digital strategies and housing them in a Canvas course created by my team member. We incorporated various digital platforms such as Padlet, Discovery Education, and ELLevation. The slideshow was originally created by a member of our Digital Learning Team and I adapted it to fit the needs of my campuses. I work closely with the Learning Liaisons to use data and teacher needs to inform the Professional Development provided.
Addressing Teacher Needs From Data Gathered At The Start Of The Year
Using teacher BrightBytes Data, the Digital Learning Team concluded that every campus had the same 'Top Three Areas of Focus'.
These areas of focus were: online tools for critical thinking, classroom management with technology, and 'multimedia skills.
