I’ve planned and managed milestone events and projects with multiple, complex communication functions and multiple audiences, such as the 100th anniversary of continuous publication of the University of Tennessee System magazine for alumni of all University of Tennessee campuses, and the inaugural State of the University address for the UT president.

I was Executive Editor of Tennessee Alumnus magazine from 2015 to 2018. The publication has since been renamed Our Tennessee but remains intended for alumni of all University of Tennessee campuses.
In 2017, the magazine celebrated 100 years of continuous publication. I oversaw planning for celebration of the centennial, including the magazine's complete redesign, expansion of its page count by a third and extensive commemorative content.
Immediately following the centennial commemoration, the magazine won the top-level Grand Award from the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education District III. The recognition was for magazine/tabloid improvement, along with and another award for overall excellence in the magazine category, besting other large and prestigious universities.
I was honored to contribute in a range of areas--from executive speechwriting to media engagement to drafting press releases--to this important, high-profile messaging event. I drafted remarks for the UT President and the event emcee, developed the run of show, scripted social media content and managed on-site media.

I was honored to serve on an invited panel in 2020 with chancellors of UT Knoxville and UT Martin and the UT Health Science Center Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs as part of an internal professional development program for colleagues across the UT System.
I project managed and edited the commemorative hardcover "The Centennial Alumni of the University of Tennessee," published 2017 in conjunction with the Tennessee Alumnus magazine 100th anniversary of continuous publication. The book contained profiles of those named the 100 most influential alumni of any UT campus of the previous 100 years.

I co-authored (along with my graduate faculty committee chair) this published paper that is based on research I conducted in pursuit of a master's degree in communication from the University of Tennessee. A doctoral student who helped evaluate the research data is the third co-author.
