The Gibraltar Food Pantry
is an outreach ministry of The First Congregational Church of Gibraltar, UCC.
We provide food at no cost for anyone in need.

Donations
Please make checks payable to First Congregational Church Food Pantry.
Donating to the Gibraltar Food Pantry has never been easier. We accept PayPal and most major credit/debit cards.
The GFP is a 501(C)3 non-profit organization. Donations may be tax deductible.
The Grow & Share Table
During the growing season (June-October) we have a “Grow & Share” table available to anyone in our community. Gardeners who have more than they can use are invited to leave their freshly grown items on the table at any time for those who would like them.
Donations of Food and Personal Care Items
We accept perishable and non-perishable food items, and personal care items.
Please, contact us before bringing donations needing to be kept refrigerated or frozen. We have a limited amount of refrigerator and freezer space.

We CANNOT accept:
alcohol
medications
opened/partially used packages
anything illegal or otherwise hazardous
Please. try and avoid glass containers.
Donations can be dropped off during our food distribution hours (Tuesdays 5:30pm - 7:00pm and Wednesdays 11:00am - 12:00pm).
Please, do not leave items outside or drop them off at the church at other times. Items left outside exposed to the elements must be disposed of. If our pantry hours are not convenient for you, please contact us and we'd be happy to make other arrangements with you.

Fundraisers
Meijer "Simply Give"-- Customers of the Woodhaven Meijer store purchase Simply Give food donation cards that are converted to food only gift cards and given to our pantry. We are Woodhaven Meijer's designated food pantry at various times throughout the year.
Kroger Community Rewards Program -- Select us as your "Charity of Choice" on your Kroger Plus Shopper's Card and we get a donation for every dollar you spend. This happens at no cost to you, and does not affect your fuel points.
Bottle & Can Drive -- Drop off your returnable bottles and cans, in our marked outdoor collections bins, located to the right of the red pantry door. For your convenience, bins are available 24/7. Proceeds are used to purchase food for our clients.
Wall of Caring -- Purchase a brick, to be painted with the graphic and text of your choice! Bricks are available for $50, $100, and $250.

“Stamp Out Hunger” -- This nationwide food drive is organized by the USPS and takes place in May. We are the recipients of all food collected in Gibraltar.
Gibraltar 4th of July Parade -- On July 4th, we march in the parade with the First Congregational Church of Gibraltar, UCC.
“An Apple for Ryan” -- This privately organized food drive takes place in October.
"Scouting for Food" -- This food drive organized by the boy scouts takes place in the fall. We are the recipients of the food collected in Gibraltar.
“Fill A Bus for the Holidays” -- This food drive, sponsored by the Gibraltar School District and Gibraltar/Rockwood Rotary Club, takes place in November and December.
Gibraltar Christmas Parade and Festivities -- Early in December, we march in the parade with the First Congregational Church of Gibraltar, UCC and host a cookie decorating table for kids.
Networking
Spread the word about our fundraisers and events. Most of our supporters attend because a friend invited them.
