Over the years students at Gorham High have published many different publications.
The most notable would be SCHOLA, the annual yearbook, founded in 1938. The original yearbook, however, was named SCHOLIA. Founded in 1912, this version ran from 1913 until 1917, with four or five published.
GHS has not had a newspaper for several years now, but in the past a school newspaper was a long-standing tradition.
Scholarette: An early newspaper at GHS. There is not much information on the Scholarette, but it was prior to the Escalator or just after.
Escalator: The Escalator was an early newspaper at GHS, mentioned in the 1939 SCHOLA. It did not run long, however, and by the early 1940s it was no longer published.
Ramster: Ramster was the longest-running and most known school newspaper. First published in 1962, the paper ran until 1991 for a total of 29 years.
Rambunctious: Rambunctious was the brief successor to the long-running Ramster, running from 1992 to 1994.
Gorham Faction: The SCHOLA first mentions Gorham Faction in the 2003-04 edition. It may have continued until 2007, but no name is provided in those yearbooks.
Unnamed newspaper: From 2004-2007 this paper was published. The name was not mentioned in the SCHOLA so it is unknown if it was the same as the previous paper.
The Voice: This is GHS' most recent paper. It ceased publication in the late 2010s.
Gorham has had an arts/literary magazine a few times over the years. None have been long-running.
