“Be Kind, Don't Leave them Behind”

The cross-curricular project

1.Planning:

1.1. The subject of the project – “Be Kind, Don't Leave them Behind”, links with other school subjects – Art and Health Education, Language.

1.2. Different parts/tasks of the subject of the project:

  1. decide what you can do to be kind;
  2. choose a topic for your picture and a name for your story;
  3. explain how you plan to be kind and help ophans, elderly and poor people.


1.3. Presentation of different elements of the project:

Information about ophans, elder and poor people.

Posters that demonstrate your help to orphans and poor people.

Diagrams that show details of your work.


1.4. The class is divided into 3 groups that are responsible for different elements of the project. The students of the 1st group prepare information chants, 2 – posters; 3 – diagrams.

2. Research:

2.1. Each group researches magazines, the Internet and so on. This work is done both in class and after class.


2.2. Students bring their information, realia etc. to the class. In their groups, they design their part of the project and write any accompanying texts.

3. Presentation:

Once the work is completed, the project is displayed in the form of presentation. Each group presents stories, pictures, photos of the ophans, elderly and poor people. A wide audience is invited to come and see the project.
