Delete Your GharAway Account

GharAway allows property owners to delete their account directly from the app. Residents can request deletion of their information through their property owner or by contacting GharAway.

Option 1 — Delete Your Account Inside the App (Property Owners)

If you have an Owner account, you can delete it yourself:

1. Open the GharAway app and sign in.

2. Go to the More tab.

3. Tap Owner Details.

4. Scroll to the Danger Zone at the bottom.

5. Tap Delete Account.

6. Confirm with your account password.

You will be signed out immediately and your account deletion process will be initiated.

Option 2 — Request Account Deletion by Email

If you cannot access your GharAway account or are unable to use the in-app deletion option, you can request account deletion by email.

Subject: GharAway Account Deletion Request

Please send the request from the email address associated with your GharAway account whenever possible.

Include:

• Your full name

• Registered email address

• A clear request to delete your GharAway account

We may verify your identity before processing the request to prevent unauthorized deletion.

Resident Data Deletion

Resident accounts and records are created and managed by the relevant property owner or authorized operator.

If you are a resident and want your personal information deleted, please contact your property owner or operator first.

The property owner can remove your resident record and associated access from GharAway.

If you are unable to resolve your request with your property owner, contact:

We will provide reasonable assistance with your request.

What Data Is Deleted?

Depending on the account and information associated with it, deletion may include eligible:

• Account and profile information

• Property information

• Room and bed records

• Resident records

• Staff records

• Rent, dues and payment records

• Expense records

• Notices and announcements

• Complaints and service requests

• Uploaded photographs and documents

• Other information associated with the account

Data That May Be Retained

Certain information may be retained where required or permitted for:

• Compliance with applicable laws

• Security and fraud prevention

• Resolving disputes

• Enforcing applicable agreements

• Other legitimate legal obligations

Information that is not required to be retained will be deleted or anonymized as appropriate.
