Water Bodies

Water bodies listed below are categorised by type on the subpages. On each linked record, a district is given for guidance, but this information may be ambiguous, since a water body may actually form a boundary between two districts or regions.

In some cases, page names have the water body type appended to avoid ambiguity (e.g. Volta Lake & Volta River).

The records use the same toponym template as cities, towns & villages, but in the case of a river record, the location data is for its confluence with another water body.
