As educators, it is our responsibility to empower the young generation with knowledge, character, discipline, and a strong sense of patriotism, so that they may become responsible citizens and architects of a brighter Pakistan.

Let us stand united and continue to work with sincerity, dedication, and hope for the peace, development, and prosperity of our nation.

Message by Principal, GGDC Tharushah

14th August is a proud reminder of the freedom, sacrifices, and struggles that led to the creation of Pakistan. It is a day to renew our commitment to the progress, peace, and prosperity of our beloved homeland.

As educators, let us pledge to nurture our students with knowledge, character, discipline, and patriotism, enabling them to contribute meaningfully to the development of Pakistan.

May our country continue to progress and prosper, and may the spirit of unity, faith, and hope always guide us.

Importance of Independence Day

Why 14th August Matters

 Independence Day holds great significance in the history of Pakistan. It reminds us of the sacrifices, struggles, and determination of our national leaders and freedom fighters who worked tirelessly for the creation of a separate homeland.

14th August is not merely a day of celebration; it is a day to renew our commitment to the values of unity, faith, discipline, patriotism, and national responsibility. As students and educator, we must contribute through knowledge, character, hard work, and dedication to the progress and prosperity of Pakistan.

Waved the National Flag

 

As part of the 14th August Independence Day celebrations, students and teachers of Government Girls Degree College Tharushah gathered in the academic corridor and waved the national flag together to the tune of patriotic songs. The activity reflected their love for Pakistan and celebrated the spirit of freedom, unity, and patriotism.

 Flag Hoisting Ceremony

Independence Day Celebration at GGDC Tharushah

 Government Girls Degree College Tharoshah celebrated Pakistan’s Independence Day on 14th August 2026 with great national spirit and enthusiasm. A Flag Hoisting Ceremony was organized at the college premises, where the national flag was hoisted with due respect and honour.

The ceremony was attended by the Principal, faculty members, staff, and students. The participants expressed their love and devotion to Pakistan and paid tribute to the sacrifices of the nation’s founding fathers and freedom fighters.

The Principal, Dr. Ali Raza Kazi, congratulated everyone on Independence Day and emphasized the importance of unity, discipline, education, and dedication in building a peaceful and prosperous Pakistan.

The ceremony concluded with prayers for the progress, prosperity, peace, and security of the country.

National Anthem

A Moment of National Pride

 As part of the Independence Day Celebrations on 14th August 2026, the National Anthem of Pakistan was respectfully performed at Government Girls Degree College Tharoshah.

The Principal, faculty members, staff, and students stood with great respect and patriotic spirit during the National Anthem. The ceremony reflected the participants’ love, unity, and devotion to the homeland.

The National Anthem created a strong sense of national pride and reminded everyone of their responsibility towards the progress, peace, and prosperity of Pakistan.

Tree Plantation Activity

Green Pakistan – Green Campus

  Government Girls Degree College Tharoshah organized a Tree Plantation Activity on 14th August 2026 as part of the Independence Day celebrations.

The Principal, Dr. Ali Raza Kazi, along with faculty members, staff, and students, participated in the plantation activity and planted various saplings within the college premises.

The activity aimed to promote environmental awareness among students and highlight the importance of trees in creating a clean, green, and healthy environment. The participants expressed their commitment to protecting nature and contributing to a greener Pakistan.

The activity concluded with a pledge to take care of the planted saplings and continue plantation efforts in the future.

Speech Competition & Milli Naghmas

Students’ Patriotic Performances

 Government Girls Degree College Tharoshah organized a Speech Competition and National Songs Ceremony on 14th August 2026 as part of the Independence Day celebrations.

Students enthusiastically participated in the speech competition and presented inspiring speeches highlighting the significance of Pakistan’s independence, the sacrifices of our national heroes, and the responsibilities of young citizens.

The students also presented national songs (Milli Naghmas) with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit, creating an atmosphere of national pride and unity.

The Principal, Dr. Ali Raza Kazi, appreciated the active participation of the students and faculty members and emphasized that education, discipline, unity, and patriotism are essential for building a strong and prosperous Pakistan.

The ceremony concluded with prayers for the peace, progress, and prosperity of Pakistan.

Prayers for the Peace & Prosperity of Pakistan

A Special Prayer Led by Prof. Ghulam Shabir Sahito

 As part of the 14th August Independence Day celebrations, a special prayer was led by Professor Ghulam Shabir Sahito for the peace, prosperity, unity, and security of Pakistan.

The Principal, faculty members, staff, and students participated in the prayer and prayed for the progress, stability, and protection of the country. Special prayers were also offered for the well-being of the nation and its people.

The ceremony concluded with heartfelt prayers for a peaceful, prosperous, and strong Pakistan.
