Using the strategies, ideas, and resources from this course you will create your own google form to enhance your classroom management procedures. Think about your classroom, students, and teaching style. All of these elements are vital to choosing a successful approach of implementing google forms in your classroom.
Chose one of 3 options (A,B,C) to implement in your classroom:
*Note: Participants are required to implement one option for the duration of at least 1 week in the classroom.
A) You may choose to do a digital hall pass of your own. This does not need to match my example. Make it your own and allow it to fit into your classroom procedures.
B) You may choose to create a Digital self-reflection sheet. This does not need to match my example. Make it your own and allow it to fit into your classroom procedures.
C) You may choose to create something different that utilizes the benefits of Google Forms and Sheets, while directly enhancing your classroom management/procedures. You may use any of the strategies/tools discussed in the course or create something entirely new! Remember to focus on creating a Google Form and Sheet that benefits your teaching practice and student learning. Additionally, it should focus on your classroom management routines and procedures. Ex: Do Now/Bell-Ringer, Pencil/Eraser Borrower Check out/in, Parent Communication Log, Positive Reinforcement Reward Form.
A) You must create a plan using this template. This completed Digital Plan will also be submitted in your LRP. Here is an example of a completed Digital Plan.
B) After you complete your plan, please email it to me at gformspd@gmail.com. I will reply, providing you with feedback via email. *Please email me with your plan at least 2 weeks prior to implementation. This is to ensure there's time to read through your plan, provide you with valuable feedback, and you may make adjustments BEFORE implementation.
C) Using the feedback provided by the instructor, make any adjustments that are necessary for successful implementation.
A) Implement your plan. Make sure no student names are being used in your evidence. Using initials would be a good way around this. *Tip: If you have already collected the data, you can "Make a Copy" of the Google Sheet and change/edit the names yourself. This will allow you to keep a Google Sheet with names and have one without identifiable information for this course.
B) Have students complete a reflection. This reflection can be done on paper or completed through a google form. Students reflect on the new strategy in their classroom, and how it has impacted their learning/classroom environment. This reflection is used to analyze how students were impacted by the incorporation of Google Forms and Sheets in their classroom. Here is a student reflection template you may choose to use: Please upload 3 student reflections to your LRP.
Reflection: Please address the following prompts:
A) Reflect on how you used Google Forms and Sheets in your classroom. How did it impact/improve your classroom management? How did it impact your teaching practice and student learning? Reflect on your data collected, and how you used/will use the data in the future.
B) Reflect on each student reflection. What was the general response from students? How did you feel the students responded to using google forms? Was there a learning curve or did students pick it up quickly? Were you surprised by what the students said?
C) What are the next steps for you as you continue to implement Google Forms and Sheets in your classroom? What would you do differently next time? What adjustments are you going to make after trying out Google Forms and Sheets in your classroom? Are you interested in trying other methods of implementing Google Forms and Sheets in your classroom? If so, what are some of the strategies you want to try?
