About the College

Government First Grade College Punjalakatte with its noble vision to provide easy access to higher education to the rural aspirants has its existence from 2006. The college is approved by UGC, accredited by NAAC with B+ Grade and is affiliated to Mangalore University. The college was established for providing higher education to the rural students of Punjalakatte and surrounding villages. The college provides a conducive learning environment through full-time student engagement in academics and co-curricular activities. At present, the college offers B.A., B.B.A., and B.Com. Programmes. The college has adequate infrastructural facilities like LMS enabled class rooms, digital library, computer laboratory and a playground. Apart from the regular teaching learning activities, the college strives for the overall development of students by conducting various extra-curricular activities. The college organises extension activities to help our students to be aware of their social responsibilities through its NSS units,  Youth Red Cross Wing and Rangers and Rovers Units. In order to give effective guidance to the students, a system of mentoring prevails in which students of each class get academic, personal, and career counselling.
