LUKE 6:37
Do not judge [others self-righteously], and you will not be judged; do not condemn [others when you are guilty and unrepentant], and you will not be condemned [for your hypocrisy]; pardon [others when they truly repent and change], and you will be pardoned [when you truly repent and change].
This is like holding onto a thorn in the palm of your hands. It pricks you every time. It makes you bleed, lose life force (your energy). Letting go of the hurtful past, allows you to put more energy into your present. The present is what determines your future. The most important thing is “NOW”. Your past only has the power you give to it through your dwelling on it. Jesus emphasized many times how healing and forgiveness were tied together. Thoughts buried deeply in the subconscious mind express in our daily lives without us being aware of it. We create and alter our world through our thoughts. WHERE MY ATTENTION GOES, MY POWER AND ENERGY FLOWS.
It is said that there are 3 types of forgiveness - exoneration, forbearance and release.
Exoneration means to relieve of a responsibility, obligation, or hardship; to clear from accusation or blame.
Forbearance is a refraining from the enforcement of something (such as a debt, right, or obligation) that is due. Additionally it also means to be patient, display endurance; self-control.
Release is to allow or enable to escape from confinement; set free. It also means to allow (something) to move, act, or flow freely.
It allows us to heal. It’s not the person whom we are holding this “negativity” against that hurts. They continue to live their lives whether or not you choose to forgive them. You can stop talking to them and even shut them out of your life. However, in the end you’re the one who is bitter and unhappy.
God's love is freely given to us and so is His forgiveness when we repent of our sins. We too must forgive as our Father in Heaven has forgiven us.
RELEASE, BE PATIENT, BE BLAMELESS
