ClassPulse was piloted between 2019-2022. The project is currently on pause. We are open to future collaborations. Click on Contact to reach us.
ClassPulse is a student-centric survey tool that utilizes NPS (Net Promotor Score) survey metrics to provide teachers instant feedback from their class. Together, we can help you address inequities, build relationships, and make your teaching meaningful in the lives of the community that counts on your guidance. We've developed a configurable prototype that you can start using today.
According to a Student Voice Survey by Quaglia and Corso, of more than 66,000 middle and high schoolers:
Only 47% of kids felt like their voice was actually heard in school and 46% felt like their voice was valued
Only 52% of them felt like their teachers are willing to learn from them and 51% thought their teacher wouldn't even care they were there.
43% of students felt like school is boring
Only 43% of students felt like what they were learning was actually helping them in real life
Over 30% said they they do not feel comfortable asking a question in class.

According to the Academic Pediatric Association and the Health Resources and Services Administration:
One in five American children has lived through significant trauma.
Of US children who have mental health problems, 2 out of 3 do not receive treatment.
Trauma disproportionately affects children of color. (For example, more than 60% of American black children have at least one traumatic experience in their background.)
Children who have experienced trauma experience higher rates of learning disabilities, more disciplinary problems in school, and a higher likelihood of dropping out.
The student activists of OurTurn did their own student-led survey about COVID's impact:
The vast majority of students (65%) reported that their mental health has declined.
A sizable minority (25%) said their physical health has declined, too.
Financial instability (38%) and taking on extra responsibilities (37%) are affecting more than a third of students.
According to published research shared by rehab clinic, The Recovery Village:
About 1 in 5 (17%) of all people will self-harm during their lifetime.
The average age of the first incident of self-harm is 13.
Two major risk factors for self-harm have increased dramatically during COVID:
Living in social isolation
Mental health conditions, like depression, anxiety and personality disorders
13 years of age seems to align with new stressors and expectations at school and home as the child enters their teenage years.
We want ClassPulse surveys to be a meaningful step towards a response, and we need your help.
Do you want a secret weapon to help you tackle distance learning while deepening your teaching practices at the same time? Building meaningful relationships is a powerful lever for improving both student outcomes and your level of satisfaction in your work. However, teachers often feel like there is never enough time. If implemented regularly, ClassPulse surveys will become a part of your classroom culture. Students want to be heard, and you are in their corner. ClassPulse can make you feel empowered to support your students.
ClassPulse Surveys can be used by anyone who works with students on a regular basis. It doesn't matter if students are at home or in school. Students can give you this feedback from a desktop, laptop or mobile device.
We believe that 2nd-12th grade students (8 to 18 years old) will benefit the most from ClassPulse. Typically, K-1st grade students are adjusting to their learning environments and the social experience of being in school. However, they can still engage with and benefit from ClassPulse if supported as a whole class activity.
The average ClassPulse Survey should take less than 2 minutes for your students to complete. For best #pulsepractices, try to have students complete one every day of school.
ClassPulse surveys are free on an individual basis for those educators who are part of our pilot program. Explore new ways to connect with your students today. Contact us below to join.
