About Me

Bonjour! I am Sherri Stokes. Educator and Biblio-Tech with the Durham District School Board. I have been teaching since 1995 in a variety of roles and I am currently teaching Math, Art, and Literacy/Technology through the Learning Commons at Uxbridge Public School. I went through the French Immersion program as a child in Sudbury, Ontario with no French support at home. I love teaching, finding new and innovative ideas in order to teach the curriculum.

I have qualifications in Math, Special Education, Library, French and Computers.

In My Classroom:

• Students are engaged in activities that spark their interest and facilitate oral communication as they embark on their journey with the French language.
• Through Inquiry and project based learning, students are empowered to make meaningful connections between the curriculum and their everyday lives.
• Technology facilitates learning and the communication of ideas
• There's lots of excitement - and sometimes noise - as we collaborate to problem solve and grow as learners.
