Hello. My name is (first name) Gerardo (last names) González Robert. I am a full-time professor of the Mathematics Department at ITAM, Mexico. I am an Adjunct Research Fellow at La Trobe University, Bendigo. I graduated from Aarhus University under the supervision of Simon Kristensen, and held postdoctoral positions at the Physics Institute of the Universidad Autónoma de San Luis Potosí, Mexico, with Dr. Felipe García-Ramos and at La Trobe University, with Mumtaz Hussain. From 2022 to 2026, I am appointed as a Level 1 member of the National System of Researchers. I'm also a member of the group Dinámica Potosina.
My main research interest is Diophantine approximation. So far, my most relevant work (PhD thesis, single-authored and collaborations) is on Hurwitz complex continued fractions. As for non-mathematical interests, I like reading fiction.

News.
August 2026. I joined the Mathematics Department at ITAM.
Update. I have updated my paper "Measure-theoretic properties of large products of consecutive partial quotients" (Brown-Sarre and Hussain listed as co-authors). Valeriia Starichkova pointed out a serious gap on a previous version, but I have fixed it. I also rewrote the proof for the upper bound of the Hausdorff dimension.
Publication JMAA. The paper "Continued fractions with large prime partial quotients" (joint with Ward, White, and Hussain) was published by JMAA. Available here.
Publication Nonlinearity. The paper co-authored with Nikita Shulga, Ben Ward, and Mumtaz Hussain, "Weighted Approximation for limsup sets" was accepted by Nonlinearity.
