After MCR broke up
After MCR broke up on March 22nd, 2013, Gerard started his own solo career. He released a solo album called Hesitant Alien on September 29th, 2014. After this album he also worked on a lot of comics. This includes The Umbrella Academy.
Hesitant Alien
Hesitant Alien is the solo album Gerard released in 2014. This album has 11 songs on it. These include The Bureau, Action Cat, No Shows, Brother, Millions, Zero Zero, Juarez, Drugstore Perfume, Get the Gang Together, How It's Going To Be, and Maya The Psychic. He also has a non-binary mascot for this album, their name is Lola. They are pictured on the right.
The Umbrella Academy
The Umbrella Academy is a comic book series that was later adapted into a Netflix series in 2019. Gerard has been working on these comics since he was still in the band. The first one came out on September 14th, 2007. That was at the time he was still doing stuff for The Black Parade with the band.
Killjoys Comics
The Killjoys comics were inspired by Danger Days: The True Lives of The Fabulous Killjoys. This is a 12 book series that has been coming out since the first issue on June 12th, 2013.
National Anthem
National Anthem was released on July 20th, 2021. It is a new series also containing the Killjoys. It isn't a sequel or a prequel to the original Killjoys comics. It also isn't considered a spin-off. It is just its own series.
