Biography

Gerald Traicoff (American, b, 1959) Painting and Drawing, Classical and Contemporary Realism.  Traicoff earned a Bachelor of Arts from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana in 1983 where he studied drawing and painting.

Artist Statement

I create paintings from carefully designed compositions.  The subject matter is eclectic, chosen from a variety of interests.  The paintings rely on careful observation, skilled draftsmanship and dramatic use of lighting. 

Though I have not studied directly under Mark Carder I have been influenced by his methods of painting. It is a process that requires careful observation and technical skills for rendering a realistic image.  The work that I have done since 2019 is a direct result of that influence.
