BACh kindly asked Shae Jones and I to contribute to their special issue on how to measure climate change in Antarctica. This issue is made freely available in Spanish by the Chilean Antarctic Institute (INACH).
I've placed the Spanish version on my website so you can appreciate how beautifully crafted this magazine is, with the most gorgeous photographs, graphics and design. The article written by Shae and I, "Understanding Antarctic terrestrial biological systems in a changing climate", can be found on pages 27-30.
This article is accompanied by images of an experiment where artificial greenhouses were placed atop the moss beds to simulate a warming climate, to test how moss beds would fare under warmer conditions. These experiments were carried out by Dr Melinda Waterman and her colleages from INACH.
The English preprint is available via the UOW Library, with this special issue due to be reprinted in English later this year.
