Facts about Organization
The Mission of the Organization states the concern for the mental illness among the children from birth till the age of 18 years. It is being observed that the 70% of all mental health issues starts in childhood. The interesting fact is that George Hull provide Early treatment that can result in 60-70% reduction in mental health problems. The George Hull Centre is basically a non-profit organization. The main source of it's funding is through Government Grants and other sources like legacy, corporate donations, and regular donations. The programs and services offered are both for children and their families. Many a programs offered by them trains, guides and counsels the various types families and age group on how to manage their mentally challenged situation. It helps them deal with the trauma in a calm and natural way. The Clinic also provides clinical service to schools, child welfare and other community agencies.(George Hull Centre children and families, 2022).

COMMUNITY CAPACITY BUILDING & Models
A child right from it's birth cannot be treated in isolation as he is a sum total of every thing that surrounds him both physically and emotionally. Being a social is incomplete without the element of family, parents, teachers, friends and all those who form a part and parcel of his living world (Tuba, 2023, slide#20).
Community Capacity building at the very basic level is an approach which increases a community capacity to solve it's problems collectively. In a child and family welfare community capacity building is to fortify the communities and families as they serve a main element in protection and nurturing the child.
The Organization very well builds community capacity , as the programs run by the organization are inclusive in nature (Tuba,2023). They include the family and parents in to the therapeutic treatment and trains and counsels them to handle the challenging situation when dealing with their mentally challenged child. Many a workshops run by the centre in Model of collaboration. The various groups specially destress the parents and make them learn many a techniques through smoothly (George Hull Centre children and families,2022).
Counselling Clinics are assessing and indulging the families and parents of the child or age from infancy to 18 years in to numerous therapies they develop for the treatment of the sufferer. They are also conducting educational workshops on topics relevant to today's families and an advocacy for the prevention of mental health problems (George Hull Centre children and families,2022).
Intensive In-Home Services , provides comprehensive therapeutic services to adolescents and families with complex mental health needs in context of their homes. Their trained and skilled team work enthusiastically to prevent family breakdowns and help the child get rid of fear of family abandonment and rejection (George Hull Centre children and families,2022).
The Early on Centre
Under this they run a Community Engagement Program which provides rich volunteer opportunities for community members and supports various community events and special events. "Working on the Principle of inclusive Practice" (Tuba,2023,slide 15). the activities designed in such centre to involve the parents , caregivers and/or family members to join and take an active part in the designing and execution of the workshops (Tuba,2023, Slide 23). This helps to build a strong relation between the child and his near and dear ones and also let the parents and family members to step in to the shoes of the child and experience his/her world. This further helps to maintain a strong social bonding and an improved emotional and cognitive development of the child.
Group Programs
Therapeutic group programs are provided for parents, children and youth. Workshops are organized for only parents, only children and both together special (George Hull Centre children and families,2022). Group Programs entail not only the sick child into account rather they try to counsel, teach, strengthen the family and parents of the child so as to work upon the principle of "Bottom up" and Grass Roots" practice" (Tuba,2023,Slide 13). This Principle finds community and Family as key element for identification of services to community and families (Tuba,2023,slide 13).
The R.I.T.E.S Collaborative for Black Youth and their families.
It is a new program which offers services which are cultural specific and also meets needs of black people in Toronto. The R.I.T.E.S collaborative mental health services will be developed and delivered collectively by CTYS(Central Toronto Youth Services) and the George Hull Centre . These services are specifically designed to strenthen the balck community and Black LGBTQ2S. The R.I.T.E.S. collaborative also creates an environment for knowledge building and community voices. "Focus on Community Needs " (Tuba, 2023, Slide 15) is the guiding principle, among the Principles of Community Capacity Building, of this Program/service. The focus of the program is to cater to the needs of black community and LGBTQ groups of black people. (George Hull Centre children and families, 2022).
