Limitations

Time

A good scientific experiment should last longer than 1-3 tests to have be repeated multiple times, have more data, recognize outliers and to recognize consistent information. Due to a lack in time as a result of 3 week program we were only able to deploy our data loggers into the field one or twice. This can somewhat hinder a project since finding a pattern in a relationship between variables would be a lot harder along with identifying certain outliers, or just acquiring a bigger sample size of data.

Quantity and Quality of Materials

Data is as accurate as the quality of methods of measurement, having more methods of measurement via more expensive sensors could result in different data and we can't compare data collected through different methods of measurement since we only had 1 way with a set amount of materials. We came to a conclusion from our exclusive interview with Dr. Beddows as she states, "The Cave Pearl logger is a development platform, it is highly modular, you had some experience with the student model but the actual research models are a little bit more complexed."

Distance From Test Sites and NU

Locally, my partner and l lived miles away from each other and NU, many problems that can arise from that would be commuting everyday we needed to go in making communication harder along with asking for more hands on aid on the project.

Regionally, a larger difference in test sites would've aided in our experiments just for comparing and contrasting certain data like soil moisture.
