When rock contains minerals which are nearly or exactly equal in size, it is said to be Equigranular Texture
Mineral grains which are having well developed crystal faces or which are euhedral, it is said to be panidiomorphic Texture.
Mineral grains which are having crystals of subhedral or partly developed crystals, it is said to be Hypidiomorphic Texture.
When the crystal shape are anhedral or absence of crystal faces, it is said to be allotriomorphic texture.
when the igneous rocks having equigranular micro crystalline crystals, which are either anhedral or subhedral, it is said to be Microcrystalline Texture.
When the igneous rocks shows texture with grains which vary in size, it is said to be Inequigranular Texture
When rocks of large crystals are found in the finer grains or glassy mineral matrix, it is said to be Porphyritic Texture
If smaller crystals are found inside the larger crystal matrix without any orientation, it is said to be Poikilitic Texture
It is a special type of poikilitic texture in which bigger crystal of augite encloses smaller grains of plagiolase. It occurs in dolerites.
Plagioclase grains occurs in a triangular network or polygonal interspace with minute grains of augite, olivine and iron oxide, such texture is said to be intergranular texture.
