Transport

TO THE CITY CENTRE

For travelling from Liszt Ferenc Airport (BUD) to the city centre you can choose the airport taxi service operated by Főtaxi with a price of 10.000 HUF (30 EUR) or book an airport shuttle ride (price is depending on the number of passengers).

The city centre can also be reached by public transport, by using the bus no. 100E, which circulates directly between the airport and the city centre (Kálvin tér, Astoria, Deák Ferenc tér) with a special fare of 1500 HUF, or by using the bus no. 200E (with normal fares of Budapest public transport) which provides connection to metro line M3 at Kőbánya-Kispest metro terminal.

TO THE CONFERENCE VENUE

The venue can be reached through several ways from the inner-city area by public transport. It takes a five minutes walk to get from the meeting venue to the nearest tram stop at Haller utca / Soroksári út, where tram lines no. 2 and 24 have stops. Tram line no. 2 operates on the bank of river Danube (with a panorama to the Buda side) and has access to the most important public transport routes to the city centre (tram lines 4, 6, 47, 49; metro line M2 and M4; inner-city buses). While tram line no. 24 (which departs from Keleti railway station) has a direct connection to metro line M3 at Nagyvárad tér.

A wide selection of ticket types for transportation in Budapest is available from single tickets (for 350 HUF) to different types of daily tickets (e.g. a 72-hour travelcard for 5500 HUF). Tickets are available in ticket and information offices of Centre for Budapest Transport and from purple vending machines located all around the town in metro stations, tram and bus stops.
