Identification Data: Your name, email address, unique user ID, and an encrypted password used to create and manage your account.
Contact Data: Your contacts list (with your explicit permission) to invite family members to join your Circle.
1.2. Location-Related Data (CRITICAL):
Since GeoFam is a family location tracking service, we must collect and process precise location data.
Real-time GPS Data: The precise geographical location of your device when the App is active. This data is essential for the App’s core functionality.
Location History: We store the history of locations for Circle members for a period up to 30 days to provide route review features.
Geofences: Information about safety zones you set up (e.g., home, school) to send entry and exit notifications.
1.3. Usage and Device Data:
Technical Data: IP address, device type, operating system, unique device identifiers, crash data, and time spent using the App.
Usage Data: Information about how you interact with the App (e.g., when an SOS alert was sent, when a geofence was set).
We use the collected data strictly for the following purposes:
Service Provision: To enable the core functionality of the App, including sharing real-time location among authorized family members.
Safety and Alerts: To process and send SOS alerts, low battery notifications, and geofence entry/exit alerts.
Maintenance and Improvement: To diagnose issues, analyze usage, and improve the App's performance and features.
Communication: To send you service-related notifications (e.g., subscription expiry or policy changes).
We do not sell or rent your Personal Data to third parties. We may disclose your data only in the following cases:
With Circle Members: Your location data and alerts are shared exclusively with the users you explicitly add to your family Circle.
With Service Providers: We may share data with third parties who help us operate the Service (e.g., cloud hosting, analytics platforms). These parties are bound to keep your information confidential.
As Required by Law: We may disclose your data if required by law, court order, or to protect our rights and safety.
The App is intended for family use. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under the age of 3 without parental consent, we will take steps to delete that information.
The use of the App by children must be done only with the explicit consent and under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian.
We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures to protect your Personal Data from unauthorized access. However, please remember that no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your Personal Data. You can delete your account and all associated data directly within the App's settings.
