"Mapping for Resilience: GIS and Geospatial Solutions for Uttarakhand’s Communities" is a one-day GIS Day 2026 programme designed to demonstrate how GIS, Remote Sensing, GeoAI and open mapping can support community resilience, disaster preparedness and sustainable development in Uttarakhand. The programme will combine expert sessions, hands-on mapping, community-focused geospatial activities, student competitions and an open mapping challenge to generate practical spatial data and awareness among students and local communities.
