Po Boxes are not considered street addresses. These addresses are generally used for postal delivery. Unlike street addresses, PO Boxes are not bound by city or state boundaries. In addition, they do not have house or apartment numbers. The main difference between a PO Box and a street address is the location. A street address is an address that is recognizable by the public and reflects the place of residence. A PO Box is essentially an address that cannot be traced.

In the United States, PO Boxes are located inside of post offices. Because of this, they provide faster delivery. The Postal Service provides slips on PO Boxes that inform the owners that a package has been delivered. The recipient will have a specific number of business days to collect it.

USPS delivers regular mail to both PO Boxes and street addresses. The USPS prefers to deliver mail to a PO Box since they don't have to transport the letter to a street address. It also makes it easier to handle mail. A PO Box is also better for attracting customers.

Although the two addresses are often the same, there are some differences. A street address is a legally recognized address while a PO Box isn't. A street address is a legal requirement for business registration.
