Check on or after November 2025 to see my next step into the world...
Returned in Halliburton as a Fiber Optics Analyst, focusing on US southern region on ExpressFiber®
for CrossWatch® and Smarfleet® project.
Plus working on the side as Developer of internal software for the CrossWell technology proprietary of Halliburton Production Enhancement group in Python.
Chanpioning Databricks integration in our current workflows, managing BI development of subsurface data backbone.
Contact me for more info on the new analytical technology for subsurface near field applications.
Got to serve my native country here in the US, helping foreigners travelling or relocating in Italy.
IT Manager presiding the adoption of Digital Archive and solving daily IT operational issues.
At Qualitest, I've developed data science and pipeline expertise for ML systems. Using Python and SQL daily, I occasionally leveraged my native language for quality control on Google's media data pipelines. Working with the search giant means constant adaptation to their innovative, boundary-pushing environment. I've embraced new methodologies like Agile while tackling fresh challenges every day.
Managed technical support and development for the OhioNET Real-Time Seismic Network at Ohio's Division of Oil and Gas Resources Management. Monitored for induced seismicity from waste disposal wells and completion operations across Ohio.
Key responsibilities:
Real-time analysis of statewide seismic network (surface seismometers, downhole geophones, accelerometers)
Seismic processing and event location using SEISAN and IRIS database
Software testing/upgrading for full-waveform processing
Velocity modeling and GR logs analysis
GIS earthquake database maintenance and mapping (ArcGIS)
Support for well permitting divisions through technical analysis
Field maintenance and installation of seismic stations
Developed automated batch processing scripts
Mentored junior geoscientists on seismic workflows.
As a Production Enhancement geophysicist at Halliburton, I performed microseismic and microdeformation analysis during completion operations using downhole monitoring tools (accelerometers, geophones, tiltometers). My analysis helped interpret fracture geometries, informing well planning and stimulated reserve estimates.
Worked on diverse projects including multi-array, single, vertical and horizontal deployments, plus complex operations like zipper fracs and multi-phase pads with up to 11 simultaneous wells. Contributed to software development implementing R&D innovations and managed multi-phase/zipper frac projects.
Initially based in Midland (2014-2016), I relocated to Houston with Team Permian in 2017, expanding into microdeformation analysis while collaborating with Business Development and R&D. This role introduced me to data science through integrated product visualization work, opening new career possibilities.
As a Weatherford International mud logger in the Permian Basin, I conducted near-real-time analysis of rock cuttings and hydrocarbons in drilling fluid directly on the oil patch. This position demanded extensive multitasking—monitoring multiple systems while interpreting gas/oil showings and formation properties during 12-24 hour shifts.
Equipment troubleshooting was a constant responsibility, from mud agitators to gas chromatography units. Though formations and findings varied between rigs, safety remained the paramount concern, especially during regular rig walks. This role provided valuable insight into drilling operations and geology's importance in well placement while serving as my introduction to oil industry safety protocols.
Served as chief geology consultant for an Italian engineering firm on a regional government project shortly after graduation in 2013. Working with a multidisciplinary team, I helped plan fluvial valley remediation and safety installations in the Abruzzo region.
My responsibilities included ensuring compliance with geotechnical and environmental sampling regulations, conducting preventive area surveys, writing geological reports per government directives, and providing geological expertise to the team. Maintained communication between regional government and local city councils while tracking project results.
This first professional geological experience with a young team provided valuable insights, though I ultimately decided to pursue opportunities in the US oil and gas industry to advance my geoscience career in Texas.
Project: "Reopening of hydraulic sections and restoration of bank defenses of the Sangro River in Scontrone and Castel Di Sangro municipalities" for Abruzzo Region Public Works Department.
