GEO respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information GEO collects, why it is used, and the choices available to you when using the application.
Account Information
When you create an account, GEO may collect information such as your email address, name, and information necessary to authenticate and maintain your account.
Location Information
GEO uses your device’s location while you are using the app to determine the geographic space in which you are currently located and to verify whether you are eligible to publish content in that space.
GEO does not require continuous background location tracking. Location is used when necessary to provide location-based functionality within the app.
Photos and Content
When you choose to publish a photograph, GEO processes the photograph and associated information necessary to assign it to a geographic space. Published content may be visible to other GEO users after applicable moderation.
Technical Information
GEO and its service providers may process limited technical information necessary to operate, secure, diagnose, and maintain the service.
We use information collected through GEO to:
Create and authenticate user accounts.
Determine the geographic space associated with a publication.
Prevent users from publishing in spaces where they are not physically present.
Store and display user-submitted photographs.
Enforce limits on the number of spaces a user may occupy.
Moderate user-generated content.
Process reports and user blocking features.
Maintain the security, reliability, and functionality of the service.
Respond to support and privacy requests.
Location is an essential part of GEO’s functionality. The app may request access to your precise location while you are using GEO.
Location information is used to determine and validate your current geographic space. GEO does not use location information for advertising and does not sell location information.
You may disable location access through your device settings, but location-based publishing features may no longer function.
GEO requests access to your device’s camera so that you can capture photographs for publication.
Camera access is only used to provide features initiated by you. GEO does not continuously access your camera.
Photographs and other information that you choose to publish may become visible to other users.
Content may be reviewed or moderated to help maintain the safety and integrity of the service. Users may also have access to reporting and blocking tools.
Do not publish photographs or information that you do not have the right to share.
GEO uses third-party infrastructure and service providers to operate the application. This includes Supabase for services such as authentication, database functionality, and storage.
These providers may process information as necessary to provide their services and are subject to their own applicable privacy and security practices.
GEO does not sell your personal information.
Information may be shared with service providers when necessary to operate the application, comply with applicable law, protect the security of GEO or its users, or respond to valid legal requests.
Information is retained for as long as reasonably necessary to provide GEO, maintain security and integrity, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes.
Content or account information may be deleted when you delete your account, subject to limited retention where required for security, legal, fraud-prevention, or technical purposes.
GEO provides users with the ability to request or initiate deletion of their account and associated data.
Where available, account deletion can be initiated directly from the application. You may also contact us at ion.contacto.web@gmail.com regarding a privacy or deletion request.
GEO is not intended for children under the minimum age required to consent to the processing of personal information in their jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information processed through GEO. However, no electronic system or method of transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Information may be processed or stored in countries other than the country where you live because GEO relies on internet-based infrastructure and service providers.
We may update this Privacy Policy as GEO evolves or as legal and operational requirements change. The updated policy will be made available through this page, and the “Last updated” date will be revised when appropriate.
