Over the years, I've been building my own inner resources and experimenting with different tools that help me regulate my nervous system, self-soothe, and nurture self-trust.
I've got a list of what works for me, and I thought I'd share it with you :)
“The body benefits from movement, and the mind benefits from stillness”
Vata-pacifying oils like lavender and chamomile are incredibly effective in calming and grounding me.
As I learn more about Ayurveda, I cherish a special blend gifted by an essential oil farmer, which beautifully balances my three doshas. During stressful moments, I'd reach for a few drops of these oils to promote deep relaxation and calmness.

A hot shower or soak in the tub is my go-to comfort ritual.
Whenever I'm feeling overwhelmed, I find solace in a warm hug - literally! The warm water feels like a soothing balm for my tense nerves. It's amazing how something so simple can be so powerful in calming my emotions and quieting my mind, reminding me that I'm safe, and everything will be okay :) Try it too!

There's one thing that always seems to hit the reset button for me - lying on my yoga mat and listening to some soothing tunes.
Lying down on the mat, I feel the weight of my body supported, allowing me to release any remaining tension, and inviting my parasympathetic nervous system to rest. I often end up falling asleep, and waking up in a calm, relaxed state - it's the ultimate sign that my mind and body have surrendered to rest and relaxation.
Do you have a go-to self-care ritual that never fails to work its magic?
Whether I'm strolling through a forest surrounded by towering trees or wandering along a beach with the sound of waves crashing, it always reminds me that I'm a part of something much bigger than myself, and that's a truly liberating feeling :)
Cooking with love is one of my favorite things to do - it's super fun for me! I love trying out new recipes and experimenting with different flavors - it's like a creative outlet. And honestly, cooking is really therapeutic. There's something so calming about chopping veggies, mixing spices, and putting my heart into every meal. Sharing it with others feels like we're sharing love and connection, and that's what makes cooking so special for me :)
