Gen Signals is intended for informational and educational purposes only and does not provide medical, psychological, legal, or professional counseling advice.

2. Information We Collect & How It Is Stored We are committed to data privacy. We minimize data collection by storing user profiles locally on your device.

a. Local Profile Data Profiles created in the app (such as parent names, child ages, and questionnaire answers) are stored entirely locally on your physical device. This data is never uploaded to, or stored on, our central servers or databases. If you delete the app from your device, this local data is permanently deleted.

b. User-Provided Content for AI Analysis When using AI-powered features (such as the Navigate tool), users may voluntarily submit messages, conversation snippets, or parenting questions. This information is submitted securely for real-time analysis and is never stored, saved, or logged in our databases. We recommend that users avoid entering highly sensitive personal information, including financial information, government IDs, passwords, or confidential personal data.

c. Device & Usage Information We may collect limited, anonymized technical information such as app version, device type, operating system, and crash logs to improve app performance and stability.

3. AI-Powered Features & Processing Gen Signals uses secure, third-party advanced AI models to generate parenting guidance, conversation interpretation, and suggested responses. When you use AI-powered features:

• The text you submit is securely transmitted to our AI partners for real-time processing.

• Our AI partners process the data solely to generate the immediate response requested by the app.

• The data is immediately discarded after the response is generated.

• Our AI partners are strictly prohibited from using your submitted data to train their models.

Users are asked for explicit consent before AI processing occurs and may revoke this consent at any time from the app Settings.

4. How We Use Information Because we do not store your profile or query data remotely, we use the limited, anonymized technical data we do collect strictly to:

• Provide AI-powered app functionality in real-time.

• Improve user experience and monitor app performance.

• Fix bugs, crashes, and maintain app security.

8. Children’s Privacy (COPPA) Gen Signals is a tool built exclusively for parents and general audiences and is not directed toward children under the age of 13. Because all profile data about teenagers is stored locally on the parent's device and not transmitted to our servers for storage, we do not knowingly collect or store personal information directly from children on our servers.
