Mrs. Silvestri (left)

Hello everyone! My name is Megan Silvestri and I am excited to be starting my 4^th year at Gene Witt! My husband, daughter, and I live locally with our two dogs (Labradors), bunnies, and guinea pigs. Originally, I am from New Jersey, but have been living in Florida since 2003. I graduated with my Bachelor’s from UCF (Go Knights!) and my Master’s from Webster University. I am currently working on my Doctorate at Florida Southern College.

Prior to working at Gene Witt, I was a School Counselor at both the Middle and High School levels. Before working in the school system, I worked in community mental health and private practice as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor.

I love working with the students by providing classroom lessons, small group, and individual sessions. It is so important for students to learn healthy coping and other important life skills. I am here to help and be a resource for students as well as parents. I look forward to working together this school year!
