Emma is currently an Across School Leader for the Bream Bay Kāhui Ako and Teacher-in-Charge of Digital Technologies at Bream Bay College. She has been a Gifted Education Coordinator for many years before taking on the ASL role. Emma has delivered workshops at a range of conferences and have been employed as an MOE PLD facilitator for various organisations, supporting primary and secondary kaiako and leaders in developing programmes and systems to support gifted learners. Her particular interests in the gifted education field are around indigenous conceptions of giftedness, project-based learning, motivation and strengths-based education.
