I am a strength-based educator driven by educational equity for neurodiverse learners. I believe in an education system where all ākonga can access quality education and can learn and achieve, no matter how their brains work. I work to empower educators to be specialists within their classrooms to meet the unique needs of gifted and neurodiverse ākonga. I have been an elected Board member for giftEDnz, Gifted Aotearoa facilitator and consulted at kura throughout Ōtautahi Christchurch. I am currently the Director of Gifted and Talented and Learning Support Coordinator at Shirley Boys’ High School - Ngā Tama o Ōruapaeroa which can be described as “a lot of testosterone in a small space”. I am passionate advocate for neurodiversity, believing that we need different thinking to meet the challenges of a world changing at an exponential rate.
