The First Billion Years of Galaxy Evolution within Large-Scale Structures Revealed by JWST
Recent JWST observations have revealed the properties of galaxies in the first billion years with unprecedented detail. These galaxies exhibit extraordinary characteristics unlike their local counterparts, while some in special environments show evidence of early maturation seen in their stellar populations and chemical properties, suggesting accelerated evolution. In this talk, I will present recent discoveries from our deep JWST spectroscopic and imaging surveys. I will also introduce the discovery of an extremely metal-poor galaxy at z = 5.725 (AMORE6), serendipitously found in a strong lensing field. With its remarkably low [OIII]/Hbeta ratio, it stands out as one of the most promising Population III galaxy candidates to date. I will discuss future observational pathways in the quest for Pop-III galaxies.
