Having spent several years as a full-stack developer, Aaron is now primarily a front-end developer. His workdays are spent building the awesome sexiness that is Domo's BI web app. The stack includes Angular, Lodash, D3, SASS, and a handful of other bits. He is a qualified public speaker, having keynoted at events such as O'Reilly's FluentConf. Additionally he is one of the organizers of Angular's official conference, ng-conf.
Brian Ivie has been professionally developing software for over 25 years for IBM, Family Search, and Spark.Net. Currently he works for the University of Utah creating web applications to aid in tracking medical research projects for the VA hospitals. He also has taught electronics, microcontrollers, networking, Linux and beginning programming classes at ITT Technical college for twelve years.
Chris Esplin started Calligraphy.org with his wife Melissa in 2012. He hopped on the Firebase bandwagon the very next year and has been smitten with the platform ever since.
Chris publishes his Firebase-related training material on FullStackFirebase.com and HowToFirebase.com.
Cortney Hansen graduated in IT in 2005, worked for a few years as a developer/QA, transitioned to being a stay at home mother for about 10 years while she had her 6 children.
About 2 years ago, Cortney came back to the workforce, and has been working in the IT field. She worked at One Click Retail as an Operation's Manager, and currently working at Utah Interactive as a System Engineer.
Cortney has done the full circle of not knowing if she could succeed in the working field due to lack of confidence and skills, to understanding herself as a mature, fun, smart engineer, that is going to make mistakes, but will keep persevering.
Jason Mavandi is a happily married software engineer who loves programming enough to spend free time preparing demos and reading specs.
Juan Lizarazo works as a Software Engineer at Impartner Software, Salt Lake City, Utah. He is originally from South America and relocated to the US six years ago.

As Overstock.com’s Chief Algorithms Officer, Dr. Kamelia Aryafar leads the company’s machine learning, data science, data engineering and analytics functions across the organizations. Since joining Overstock.com in 2017, Kamelia’s teams have integrated state-of-the-art machine learning and artificial intelligence algorithms across various product teams, including personalization, pricing, ranking, search, recommender systems, marketing, CRM, advertising technologies, email, sourcing and supply chain.
Kamelia transitioned from academia to industry as a Senior Machine Learning Scientist and Lead at Etsy in 2013, where she worked with different product teams across several platforms to integrate machine learning and artificial intelligence algorithms throughout the organization. This work allowed her to apply the latest technology in the realm of e-commerce.
Kamelia holds a Ph.D. and M.Sc. in computer science and machine learning from Drexel University and a B.Sc in computer engineering from Sharif University of Technology. She has published several papers in scientific journals and conference proceedings. An active member of the machine learning community, she frequently speaks at academic and industry conferences focusing on advancing the field of artificial intelligence.
Katya has nearly 11 years of broad experience in various technology stacks and across verticals, such as e-commerce, recruiting and healthcare. She has been an individual contributor, technical lead, team lead and architect.
In Katya's current role, her team and she focuses on maintaining the existing system, architecting and implementing new capabilities and mentoring junior peers. Katya holds a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degrees in Computer Science from Neumont University.
Kent C. Dodds works at PayPal as a full stack JavaScript engineer. He represents PayPal on the TC39. He's actively involved in the open source community. He's an instructor on egghead.io, Frontend Masters, and Workshop.me. He's also a Google Developer Expert. Kent is happily married and the father of four kids. He likes his family, code, JavaScript, and React.

Tyler graduated #1 in Neuroscience from BYU in 2012. He founded and operated a software development agency, Provo Web, while teaching and writing curriculum for the the first two semesters of DevMountain. During that time, he partnered with two close friends to create Jolt.com where he works today. Jolt is a software toolbox that empowers the 80% of the world's workers that don't work in an office or behind a desk to better love their work and live their lives. With his co-founders, Tyler helped bootstrap Jolt from 0 to 130 employees. He is currently serving on the board and as CTO of Jolt, leading all product and R&D efforts.
