Breakout Room 1: React, the future is now by Kent C. Dodds
Breakout Room 2: DOM manipulation in web workers: The future of your mobile web apps by Juan Lizarazo
Abstract: Web workers: We have been talking about them for over ten years and yet we can't directly manipulate the DOM with them, or can we? The Accelerated Mobile Pages Project (AMP Project) is an open-source initiative led by Google, aiming to make the web better for all. As part of this mission, a new milestone was reached: Concurrent DOM manipulation. In this talk, Juan will share how multi-threaded DOM manipulation is achieved, why it matters and how you can create better smooth experiences with 60fps interactions leveraging the power of web workers.Breakout Room 3: WebAuthN: Secure authentication through your devices by Jason Mavandi
Abstract: Talk through WebAuthN. What devices can it be used on. Where is it supported. What does it mean for authentication. Touch on how the technology works. Ending with a demo that people can run on their own computers.Lunch & Sponsor talks
Breakout Room 1: Tensorflow Lite: Concept to Production by Tyler Slater
Abstract: This talk will walk through the steps necessary to deploy Tensorflow models in a mobile app using Tensorflow Lite. Running machine learning models on mobile devices allows for users to experience the magic of AI offline--and in near real-time. This talk targets software developers and data scientists with all levels of familiarity with Tensorflow. Whether you're a seasoned a Tensorflow user merely going mobile for the first time, or if you've never even run a Tensorflow tutorial, by the end of this presentation you will have the confidence and background knowledge to navigate the relatively new (and sparsely documented) process of deploying production-ready machine learning models on mobile devices.Breakout Room 2: Getting started with Firebase and Cloud Functions by Chris Esplin (Workshop)
Abstract: Serverless apps are easy with the right architecture. Learn a test-driven approach to integrating Cloud Functions into your next app, with or without the Firebase databases.Breakout Room 3: Build Your Own IoT Devices by Brian Ivie (Workshop)
Abstract: This will be a hands-on workshop where we cover what devices are currently available to use in building and programming your own Internet of Things (IoT) devices. This workshop will focus specifically on ESP8266s and will cover the basic electronics you will need to know. Bring a laptop, (preferably with the Arduino IDE installed).Breakout Room 1: Machine Learning and AI: Building the Future of E-commerce and Online Retail by Kamelia Aryafar
Abstract: In this talk we will explore the applications of different facets of AI ( machine learning, deep learning, NLP and computer vision) in online retail and e-commerce. We will walk through practical examples of how AI can be used to personalize customer experience and revolutionize your customer journey through personalized marketing campaigns, personalized recommendations, supply chain, CRM, reranked search and more. Kamelia will share her thoughts on building successful AI teams and an experiment-driven culture that will reshape your business by enhancing customer experience through AI.Breakout Room 2: Getting started with Firebase and Cloud Functions by Chris Esplin (Workshop continued..)
