Effective Date: June 22, 2026
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of Ukulele Chord Library ("the App", "we", "us", or "our"). By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms.
Ukulele Chord Library is an iOS application designed to help users:
browse ukulele chords and fingerings;
explore chord variations and positions;
look up musical modes;
reverse-search chords from fret patterns; and
save favorite chords locally on their device.
The App also includes support, sharing, review, and subscription-related interface elements. Some subscription features are currently UI placeholders and are not yet fully implemented.
You may use the App only in compliance with applicable laws and platform rules. If you are using the App on behalf of another person or entity, you represent that you are authorized to do so.
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to use the App for your personal, lawful use on compatible Apple devices you own or control.
You agree not to:
use the App in violation of any applicable law or regulation;
copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, or exploit the App except as permitted by law;
reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App, except where such restriction is prohibited by applicable law;
interfere with the App's normal operation; or
use the App to transmit unlawful, harmful, or infringing content.
The App provides chord, fingering, and music-reference information for general educational and informational use. We do not guarantee that every chord label, fingering, description, or usage example is complete, error-free, or suitable for every musical context.
You are responsible for how you use the information provided by the App.
The App currently stores certain usage data locally on your device, including favorites, recently viewed chords, and a local membership status flag used by the current interface.
You are responsible for your device and for maintaining any backups or device settings you consider necessary.
The App currently contains subscription-related screens and interface elements. As of June 22, 2026, the current codebase includes placeholder subscription UI, but full purchase and restore functionality is not yet implemented.
If subscription purchasing is added in a future release, additional billing terms, renewal details, and cancellation information may apply and these Terms may be updated accordingly.
The App may interact with Apple or other services when you choose certain optional actions, such as:
opening your email app to contact support;
using the iOS share sheet; or
submitting an App Store review.
Those services are controlled by their respective providers and may be subject to separate terms, privacy policies, and platform rules.
The App, including its software, interface design, text, arrangement, and related materials, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You retain responsibility for any content you voluntarily send outside the App, such as feedback emails or information shared through third-party services.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that:
the App will always be available or uninterrupted;
the App will be free from errors or omissions; or
the App will meet your particular musical, educational, or technical expectations.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, goodwill, profits, business opportunity, or device-related loss arising out of or related to your use of the App.
If applicable law does not allow certain limitations, some of the above may not apply to you.
We may suspend, limit, or terminate your right to use the App if we believe you have violated these Terms or if required by law. You may stop using the App at any time by discontinuing use and deleting it from your device.
We may modify, improve, remove, or discontinue parts of the App at any time, including features that are currently described as placeholders or under development.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we do, we will update the effective date above. Your continued use of the App after updated Terms take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the jurisdiction where the App operator is established, unless otherwise required by applicable consumer protection law.
If you downloaded the App from the Apple App Store, your use of the App may also be subject to Apple's platform rules and, where applicable, Apple's standard licensed application terms:
https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/
If there is a mandatory conflict between these Terms and applicable Apple platform requirements, the applicable Apple requirement will control to the extent of that conflict.

These Terms are based on the App's current functionality as reflected in the codebase on June 22, 2026. If you later add real subscription billing, cloud services, accounts, analytics, community content, or paid digital services, these Terms should be reviewed and updated before release.
