This Privacy Policy explains how Ukulele Chord Library ("the App", "we", "us", or "our") handles information when you use the mobile application.
Ukulele Chord Library is an iOS app for:
browsing ukulele chords and chord positions;
looking up musical modes;
reverse chord lookup from fret patterns;
saving favorite chords and recent views on your device; and
opening optional support, sharing, review, and subscription-related screens.
Based on the App's current implementation, we do not require account registration and we do not intentionally collect personal information directly inside the App.
The App currently stores the following data locally using iOS device storage:
your saved favorite chords;
your recently viewed chords; and
a local membership status flag used by the current UI.
This information is stored on your device and is used to provide App functionality.
Based on the App's current codebase, the App does not currently:
create user accounts;
collect profile information;
collect precise location data;
access your contacts, photos, microphone, camera, or calendar;
use advertising SDKs;
use third-party analytics SDKs;
track you across apps or websites; or
upload your favorites or recents to our own servers.
The App includes a few optional actions that may involve Apple or third-party services outside the App itself:

Any information you include in your email is provided by you voluntarily and will be handled by your email provider and any systems used to receive and respond to your message.
If you use the share feature, the App opens the iOS share sheet so you can choose how and where to share content. Your selected sharing destination will process information according to its own privacy practices.
The App may request an App Store review through Apple's system review interface. That process is controlled by Apple.
The current version of the App includes subscription-related interface screens, but subscription purchase and restore logic are not yet implemented in the current codebase. If that changes in a future release, this Privacy Policy may be updated.
The limited information currently stored by the App is used only to:
remember your favorites;
remember recently viewed chords;
support the current App interface; and
respond to messages you voluntarily send to us.
We do not currently sell your personal information.
Because the App does not currently collect personal information directly to our own backend, we do not currently share personal information with advertising networks or analytics providers through the App's implemented code.
However, if you choose to use optional external actions such as email, App Store reviews, or the iOS share sheet, Apple or the service you choose may process information under their own terms and privacy policies.
Locally stored App data remains on your device until:
you remove it by changing your usage within the App;
you delete the App; or
your device or system clears the App's local data.
If you email us, we may retain that correspondence for support, troubleshooting, and record-keeping purposes.
The App is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us by email, please contact us and we will review the request.
We rely primarily on Apple's iOS platform protections and local on-device storage for the App's current functionality. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps consistent with the App's actual implementation.
If you contact us by email or use third-party sharing or Apple services, your information may be processed in jurisdictions outside your place of residence, depending on your provider or chosen service.
We may update this Privacy Policy if the App's features, data practices, or legal requirements change. The updated version will include a revised effective date.

This Privacy Policy is based on the App's current code as of June 22, 2026. If you later enable real subscriptions, cloud sync, analytics, crash reporting, login, or other network-based features, both this policy and your App Store privacy disclosures should be reviewed and updated before release.
