Although this is technically an earlier model of the full armor, the design work on this image is very easy to see in comparison to some other images. This is what I look for in reference images: clean, easy to see lines/design work for me to base my own sketches off of.
This week, in addition to creating the chest piece, I also was working on dialing in the settings of a new printer. I have been using the engineering department's Flashforge printers up until this point and I wanted something with a larger build plate. Luckily, the math department had a Makerbot so this week I spent some time adjusting settings and leveling the bed to prepare it for use for more pieces.
Now I just need to finish it which includes sanding, applying bondo, and painting.
